Kohima: As part of the observance of fire service week, the state’s fire & emergency services today conducted a mock drill on fire prevention and safety measures at Government High School Chandmari, Kohima.
Addressing the students, SI Kenny Khing said the objective of the mock drill is to instill the habit of preparedness for any eventually of fire incident.
The mock drill demonstrated the mechanism of sounding alarm, rescue operation, administration of first-aid and fire fighting.
On Monday, the department carried out awareness programme on fire prevention and safety measures in various locations of Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Zunheboto, Mon, Wokha, Phek, Chumukedima and Kiphire. The fire service week will go on till April 20.
