The 5th graduation day of Modern College, Piphema was held at Indoor Stadium on July 18.
Kohima, July 18 (MExN): The 5th graduation day of Modern College, Piphema was graced by Dr Hovithal N Sothu, Project Director, Task Force for Music & Arts, Government of Nagaland as special guest at Indoor Stadium on July 18.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Hovithal advised everyone to stand for professionalism and strive to be the best in everything they do. “Take the next step wisely… choose your path according to your dreams, fully commit to it and prepare yourself to make sacrifices for your dream because it has become a very competitive world,” he said.
Dr Hovithal advised them to be mentally prepared to face the world. He concluded that many new challenges will come but encouraged the students to take risks, have a big heart, work hard and make sacrifices to be successful. His ending words were to never forget their Alma Mater and be always grateful for what it has given them.
Earlier, Dr Vitsou Yano, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Daniel N Konyak, President of EU, pronounced a prayer of blessings for the graduates. Urmipen Mokung, University Topper and Dieccoo, Ex General Secretary of Modern College Students’ Union presented speeches on behalf of the Graduates and Ricky Das, the new General Secretary of Modern College Students’ Union, presented a speech on behalf of the juniors.
Altogether Modern College produced 74 graduates and 1 university topper from the department of education.
