Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): Modern College has announced that Kevingukho Kehie, Assistant Professor in the Department of History and Caretaker Training Officer (CTO) of the NCC Unit, has been commissioned as an Associate NCC Officer (ANO) with the rank of Honorary Lieutenant on April 4.
The commissioning followed the successful completion of a 90-day Pre-Commission Training Course held from January 5 to April 4, 2026 at the Officers Training Academy, Kamptee.
According to a statement, the training programme covered physical fitness, drill, map reading, first aid, games and sports, weapon handling, rifle shooting, field craft, and battle craft, aimed at equipping future NCC officers with leadership and discipline.
A total of 513 CTOs from across the country were commissioned as ANOs upon completion of the course.
The college community conveyed congratulations to Kehie on the achievement.
