Modern Higher Secondary School organized a one day seminar on mental health on September 14.
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15 (MExN): A one day seminar on 'Understanding Mental Health: Changing the Narrative' was organized by HoDs, Modern Higher Secondary School on September 14 in collaboration with Young Minds Org.
The facilitators of the seminar were Vivoto Koso, Counseling Psychologist and Daewon Nongrem, Sports & Counseling Psychologist. The key topics of the seminar include introduction to mental health, understanding stress, stress management, coping strategies, suicide prevention and improving overall wellbeing, a press release stated.
The seminar was chaired by Abenla Longkumer, HoD, Department of Arts. Amnon and Lumpongli presented special melodies and word of gratitude was expressed by Akiholi Zhimo, HoD, Department of Commerce.
Young Minds Org is a youth-led mental health organisation based in Kohima, Nagaland dedicated to promoting mental wellness among adolescents and young adults. They are a team of young experienced psychologists driven by a shared vision to address the unique mental health challenges faced by youth in Nagaland and North East region, according to the press release.
