Mokokchung: 7th AMAM AutoX & Up Hill Climb on January 30 and 31

Mokokchung, January 28 (MExN): The much anticipated and exhilarating motorsport event- 7th AMAM AutoX & Up Hill Climb is scheduled to take place on January 30 and 31 at Sungratsu Sports Complex and Merakum Tzuin Resort on Yimchalu Road in Mokokchung.

Organised by the Adventure and Motorsport Association Mokokchung (AMAM), this flagship event will feature high-octane action and heart-pounding excitement, AMAM media team informed in an update. 

Toshimongla Kichu, Project Director DRDA Mokokchung will do the honours by flagging off this adrenaline-pumping thriller AutoX at Sungratsu Sports Complex, Yimchalu Road on January 30 as the special guest and Imtikumzuk Imsong President BJP YUVA Mokokchung district has consented be the special guest in the closing ceremony on January 31. 

Participants from various parts of Nagaland, including Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, and other Northeast States, are expected to showcase their motorsport talents.

“7th AMAM AutoX & Up Hill Climb is an unique racing experience by blending Autocross at Sungratsu Sports Complex and Up Hill Climb at Merakum Tzuin Resort, keeping both racers and spectators on the edge of their seats,” the release stated.

The competition is divided into three categories: Below 1300 cc, SUV, and an open category. With a substantial prize pool of up to Rs 3.2 lakh, the stakes are high, motivating racers to give their best performance.

Notably, the 7th AMAM AutoX & Up Hill Climb also serves as Round Four of the Northeast Championship round, determining the finest racer in the region based on their performance across various motorsport events.

“As engines rev up and rubber meets the road, the event is set to be a celebration of speed, skill, and the enduring spirit of motorsport in Nagaland. With a legacy spanning years, it is more than just a race; it is a testament to the unwavering passion for motorsport in the region. All eyes will be on Yimchalu Road, Mokokchung, as participants compete for glory and the title of the finest racer,” AMAM added.
