Mokokchung, October 26 (MExN): Basic training on skill development under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was conducted in Mangkolemba and Longchem blocks, Mokokchung on October 24 and 25 respectively by the DWSM, PHE Department, Mokokchung division. At the skill development training, 22 participants were trained in the skills of plumbing, fitting, wielding, and masonry.
The keynote address was delivered by Tsungrusungla Jamir, District Co-ordinator, Mokokchung. Er Jongpongyanger, SDO, Mangkolemba highlighted the responsibilities of WATSAN Committees on maintenance and sustainability of water supply systems. He urged the WATSAN Committee members and trained personnel to take responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the village water supply system. He further urged the committee to ensure the timely collection of water tax for the operation and maintenance of the same.
