The Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE), Yimyu, Mokokchung celebrated its 9th Foundation Day on February 12 at the college campus.
Dr KK Upadhyay, Director, College Development Council, Nagaland University, was the guest of the programme. In his speech, Dr. Upadhyay highlighted the future change in the school, higher and the Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) sectors and encouraged the college to move towards Integrated Course and UGC Skill Development programme.
T Alemla Longkumer, Principal, MCTE who also spoke on the occasion acknowledged all the past and present stakeholders whose contributions has led to the establishment and wellbeing of the college. She also shared her vision on the future course of development of the college making it a multi-disciplinary institution.
The nationwide Constitution and Fundamental Duties campaign marked by pledge taking was also initiated by Temjenzungba Kichu, Asst. Prof, MCTE as a part of the programme. Rongsenyangla, 4th Semester student also spoke on her experience at MCTE while Tongpangkumzuk performed a special number and Dr. Temsurenla, Vice-principal, MCTE pronounced the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Imtimenla Jamir, Asst. Prof., MCTE.
