Mokokchung, August 29 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir in an order issued on August 29 has notified that there will be no restriction on intra-district movements and for vehicles bound for other districts transiting through Mokokchung.
However, it stated inter-district movement of vehicles be permitted only in case of medical emergencies/government officials on duty and with due written permission from the District Administration.
It also stated that movement of commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods across Tzutapela Gate/Watiyongpang Gate to continue as per order dated July 25. Interstate vehicular movement across Tzutapela Gate/Watiyongpang Gate will continue to be banned except those vehicles with due written permission from the Home Department, Government of Nagaland and with due written permission front the District Administration and those commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods as mentioned under point no.2.
“Any persons/groups acting in violation of this order shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code,” the DC added.
