Board members asked to attend meeting regularly
Mokokchung, August 9 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board held in the conference hall of ADC (Planning) on August 8 has approved the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) schemes for the year 2016-17. The meeting was chaired by DPDB Chairman and Parliamentary Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Amenba Yaden.
In his speech, Yaden said the LADP has prioritized schemes to be taken under common pool which would benefit the people. He regretted that some schemes could not be included to be implemented during the year under common pool as funds are very limited.
The Chairman took a strong note of officers who are ‘irregular’ in the DPDB meeting and cautioned that they should refrain from such irregularity. Encouraging all the members to attend the meeting regularly, the chairman said that participation by all the members in the discussions not only help to arrive at good decisions but it also help members to gain confidence in the decision making in later stage who are going to become head of the department.
District Development Manager, NABARD, Mokokchung, Sanasam Amarjit Mangang who attended the meeting shared Potential Linked Credit Plan, a document prepared by NABARD for the district for the year 2017-18. He said the document aims to move closer to agriculture prosperity by ensuring credit flow to agri & allied sectors, MSME, social infrastructure etc with the cooperation of financial institutions and all the departments.
The meeting also decided to forward representation received from the Governing Body of Mokokchung Law College to the government for setting up of government law college in Mokokchung Town.
DC & Vice Chairman, DPDB Mokokchung Sushil Kumar Patel reviewed the preparation for the Independence Day celebration in Mokokchung town.
