MOKOKCHUNG, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The monthly Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the Chairmanship of DPDB Chairman & Deputy Speaker NLA, Sharingain Longkumer with the presence of DC Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan at the ADC Planning Hall Mokokchung on September 20.
The Chairman called upon all the members to maintain better communication, co-ordination and courtesy to one another, informed a DIPR report. He expressed the desire to focus in the core sectors like education, health infrastructure and agri & allied activities. In the meeting, the board approved the LADP schemes 2019-20 of the 10 constituency under the district.
The Board, after deliberation and discussion, approved and forwarded two societies for Registration: Kongro Naga Society and Japukong Youth Organisation. Change of nomenclature of John Douglas School Yimyu to Whetstone High was also approved for further action.
Enlisting Ungma village as Tourist Village was forwarded to District Tourism Officer for further necessary step; while construction of a conference hall in the administration block, Food Safety Laboratory in the District HQ was discussed on which the Chief Medical Officer was entrusted to prepare a detailed report on the project.
ITI skill up gradation, up gradation and renovation of cemetery were some of the agendas discussed. The report on Electoral Verification Programme which is on going in the district was given by ADC Mokokchung, W Manpai Phom.
