Mokokchung, May 9 (DIPR): The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of May was held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of ADC (Planning) Mokokchung with Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS as the chairman.
In the meeting, Officers Club of Mokokchung felicitated two HSLC toppers from Mokokchung district. The two toppers were Nokinsangla T. Imchen, 14th position from Edith Douglas Higher Secondary School and Okten Jamir, 20th position from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School. The toppers were awarded citation and cash which was handed by the Deputy Commissioner.
The house also discussed on the issue of those pensioners in the district who could not present themselves for verification as well as drawing money due to old age and ailment. It was decided that such cases would be listed out with the co-ordination of the Departments and the Bank. Deputy Commissioner also asked the Chief Manager SBI Mokokchung to submit a list of officials from which a manager would be appointed to verify such cases once in a year so that those pensioners who could not come to the office for verification could continue to withdraw their pension.
Agenda on Registration of Societies were discussed and two societies namely, Anava Welfare Society, Kitchutip Ward, Mokokchung and Mokokchung Lotha Hoho were forwarded for registration. Power point was presented by PO-Operation office DIO Mokokchung.
