 
                          
                  
Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital in process of upgradation of machineries, says Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland
Mokokchung, June 26 (MExN): The newly constructed Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office, Mokokchung, reportedly the “biggest CMO office in the state,” was inaugurated on June 26 in the presence of Dr Vikeyie Losu, Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland.
Speaking on the occasion as the special invitee, Dr Losu said that Mokokchung has a good team of doctors and medical staff and taking the opportunity, every staff as a team must support one another to give the best health services to the public.
According the a DIPR report, he further said that every year new programmes on health are announced and it is the duty of all concerned to take it as a challenge, to ensure that even those living in far flung areas in the district, are benefited.
Apart from the construction of the new CMO office, the Principal Director further informed that Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), the district hospital of Mokokchung, is also in the process of upgradation, the report said.
Many changes such as upgradation of machineries and construction of new buildings will come up in the coming days. This would enhance assets of the hospital for the benefits of the people of the district, he added.
Dr Losu also urged the different Health Unit in the district to come forward and to give their best keeping in mind that service to human is service to God, adding: “What we can do today, let us finish it today.”
Speaking on behalf of the District Administration, SDO (C) Mokokchung, Thungchanbemo Tungoe asked the staff to take good care of the office building with the understanding that “we are the Government and the building belongs to us.”
It is the bounden duty of everyone to safeguard and maintain the office as their own, thereby keeping good legacy for the younger generations, he added.
Earlier, CMO Mokokchung, Dr Chubala Aier welcomed the gathering while a short speech was also delivered by Vice President, Ao Senden. Pastor MTBA, Rev Ponen pronounced the invocation for the event chaired by the Medical Superintendent, IMDH, Dr. P. Medemmayang.
