
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 22 (MExN): The National Institute for Locomotors Disabilities (DIVYANGJAN), Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), Government of India, in collaboration with the Care and Support Society, Mokokchung organized will be holding ‘Identification Camps for PwDs’ in the month of September.
A press note from the Care and Support Society, Mokokchung informed that one camp will be held at Mangkolemba Town for Mangkolemba Block on September 5 at Town Hall and another will be held at Mokokchung Town at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) on September 6. Both camps will start from 9:00 am onwards.
Beneficiaries need to bring the following documents: two copies of photographs; photocopy of Residential Proof (Voter ID card/Ration card/Adhar card); photocopy of disabilities Certificate; and family income certificate from competent Authority (MP/MLA/DM/ADM/SDO/BDO/Counsellor/Gram Pradhan- in original or photocopy of MGNREGA card/Disabilities Pension card) 100 percent subsidy in payment of rehabilitation aid will be provided to those with monthly income of less than Rs 15000. 50 percent in payment of rehabilitation aid will be given to those with monthly income between Rs 15001 and Rs 20000; and no subsidy will be provided for those with income exceeding Rs 20000.
Aids and appliance will provide after one month after the camp such as blind stick, hearing aids, wheelchairs, artificial limb, tricycle (hand use), walking stick, crutch etc.
