Mokokchung: Task Force reviews immunization progress

District Task Force for Immunization was held at DC’s conference hall on February 20.

Mokokchung, February 20 (MExN): District Task Force for Immunization was held under the chairmanship of Ajay Moktan, Assistant Commissioner, Mokokchung at DC’s conference hall on February 20.

Dr MAH Azhar, SMO WHO presented on the Vaccine Preventable Surveillance & MR Elimination update. He highlighted the performance of Mokokchung District on the Routine Immunization and status of Zero dose: PZD, MR-1 and MR-2. He recommended that strengthening and maintaining high quality and sensitive VPD surveillance as a way towards MR elimination.

While discussing on district performance, Dr Limanaro, DPO (UIP & RCH) pointed out that the district indicators have shown improvement and encouraged all the members to co-ordinate and put continual efforts. She further shared that in order to address missed out and drop outs, healthcare workers have been undertaking continual home visits to vaccine hesitant parents; addressing to the various vaccine queries and fears.

The meeting was attended by Consultant UNICEF, allied departments, IRCS members, TATTVA Foundation and CMO staff.
