The 32nd Inter Club Cricket Tournament organised by the Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) was held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex from January 9 to 13. The final match was played between Titans CC and Trebuchet CC. The closing function was graced by Dr Maongtemjen, Deputy Librarian, NU, Lumami.
Titans CC defeated Trebuchet CC in the final match. After winning three consecutive matches, Titans reached the tournament final and managed to defeat Trebuchet by 7 wickets. Titans CC successfully chased down the target of 97 runs in the 11 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process.
Longsasunep scored an unbeaten 39 runs in 21 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes to steer Titans to victory. Additionally, Andrew contributed 29 runs of 20 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six, before being dismissed. Chubaodang, Bablu Deka and Mudassir claimed 1 wicket each.
During the match, Trebuchet having won the toss and elected to bat first, compiled a total of 96 runs while losing all ten wickets 16.1 overs. Mudassir made significant contributions with 41 runs and Temsutoshi added 12 runs to the scoreboard.
On the bowling side, Titans's Longsasunep picked up 4/19 and Toshimeren secured 3/22, while Tongpang claimed 2/1.
Longsasunep was awarded the Man of the Match, the highest wicket getter and the player of the Tournament. Salangdangba of Sovran CC was named as the Most Promising Player while Mudassir of Trebuchet was the Highest Run getter of the tournament.
With this Win, Titans CC completed the Winning Hattrick in terms of winning the tournament for three consecutive editions.
