MOKOKCHUNG, DECEMBER 17 (MExN): The Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Mokokchung have issued a traffic advisory in connection with the upcoming M Fest 2024, organized by Soundscape Enterprise under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Art and Culture Council and the Growth Centre Society. The festival will take place from December 17 to 19, 2024, in Mokokchung.
To ensure smooth traffic flow during the event, certain traffic regulations will be implemented from 4 PM to 9 PM on December 17 and 19, 2024.
As per the advisory, vehicles coming from Kumlong and Aongza wards will be diverted at the District Education Office (DEO) Junction, and traffic will be directed towards the SBI Bazaar Branch in Mokokchung. There will be No Entry from the SBI Bazaar branch towards Kumlong and Aongza wards during these times. Additionally, a One-Way traffic system will be in place from the Imkongmeren Sports Complex Junction to the District Education Office (DEO).
Parking for vehicles will be designated at several locations, including the Multipurpose Sports Complex, Badminton Stadium, P. Shilu Park, and the Assam Rifles Ground. Emergency vehicles, including ambulances, will be exempted from the traffic regulations. The public has been advised to comply with the traffic guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival and avoid inconvenience.
