Mon DC, SP and CMO in ‘self-isolation’, working from home

Mon, June 27 (MExN):Mon district’s Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Chief Medical Officer have gone into ‘self-isolation’ after they came in contact with someone who was in close proximity of a jawan who tested positive on June 24.

However, the DC Mon has assured that it is “a matter of abundant precaution” and that there is nothing to worry about. Speaking to The Morung Express on June 27, the DC said “It’s just precaution as we meet several people every day. We are working from home 24x7 and coordinating with our teams all the time.”

“It is our district's policy to test all medical and non medical frontline workers regularly,” the DC said, adding that all of them get tested regularly. “We were negative during the test on 17 June,” he said.

The DC also informed that the person with whom they were in close proximity tested negative on June 25. A second test is to be conducted on the person 5 days later, after which the officials will also be tested again.

As of June 27, all three are working and coordinating with their teams from home.

Minister in charge of Mon district Paiwang Konyak is present to support and coordinate with civil societies, the DC said.
