Mon, March 15 (DIPR): In connection with the Parliamentary Election 2014, Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer, Mon, Angau I Thou (IAS) has informed all Government officials who have applied for medical exemption from election duty that Medical Board for examination would be held on March 18 at the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mon at 11:00 am.
The DC further informed all gun license holders to deposit their Arms along with the Arms license to the nearest Police Station till the completion of election. However, as per the decision of the District Level Standing Committee on parliamentary election, locally made Muzzle loading guns which are part of Konyak culture will be exempted from the purview of the order till April 6, 2014 in view of the Konyak Aoleang festival from April 1 to 6. Use of Muzzle loading guns from April 7 till the completion of election process is restricted.
