Mon dist: Medical clearance certificates mandatory for stranded people to travel

Mon, May 7 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS in its latest travel advisories regarding the inter-district movement for stranded persons in respect of Mon district has notified that stranded persons without medical clearance certificates from Medical Officers will not be allowed to travel.

 

A report from the DPRO Mon stated that the screening for stranded persons from Mon Town and Mon Sadar villages was conducted at Flu Clinic, District Hospital, Mon on May 7.

 

The DC Mon has notified the respective Medical Officers to issue medical clearance certificates. The concerned Administrative Officers are directed to coordinate with their respective Medical Officers to maintain records of stranded persons moving out from their respective sub-divisions.

 

Route Chart:

Nagaland State Transport buses will take the Nagaland-Assam route escorted by police without any stoppages in Assam.

 

Movement passes for small private vehicles will be issued by the concerned Administrative Officers. Small private vehicles travelling to other Districts may take the following route:

 

  • Mon-Wakching-Tamlu-Merangkong-Mokokchung-Wokha-Kohima-Dimapur
  • Mon-Aboi-Longching-Longleng-Mokokchung-Wokha-Kohima-Dimapur
  • Mon-Aboi-Tobu-Tuensang-Mokokchung-Wokha-Kohima-Dimapur

 

The transportation of stranded persons from Mon District to other Districts will start from May 8. In this regard, those stranded persons who have registered themselves at the Deputy Commissioner's Office or respective Sub-divisions are asked to report at NST Station near Konyak Baptist Church, Mon town on May 8 at 6:00 am.

 

All the Administrative Officers are requested to tie up with the respective village councils/civil societies for transportation of returning stranded persons from Mon Town to their respective Villages.
