DIMAPUR, JUNE 30 (MExN): The Mon District Administration on Saturday issued an order banning the sale of fresh fish products including crustaceans till further notice until such time the availability of fresh fish in Mon district is certified as safe for human consumption by the Food Safety Officer in accordance with FSSAI regulations. An order issue by the Deputy Commissioner, K Thavaseelan said instances of availability of such formalin treated fresh fish products in the district cannot be ruled out since almost all the fresh fish products are imported from outside the state. It has however exempted sale of live fish from the ban.
