Mon District Road Safety Committee organises seminar

Mon, February 10 (MExN): Mon District Road Safety Committee organised a seminar on road safety with the theme, “Parwaah Karenge, Surakshit Rahenge” (We Care, We Protect) at Town Council Hall, Mon on February 8. 

Pakon Phom, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon graced the programme as a special guest, stated a DIPR report. The special guest highlighted that the aim is to promote awareness about road safety and reduce the alarming number of road accidents. He urged the participants to be more careful and well aware of the traffic rules.

Kanchan Kumar Kandpal (IPS), SP Mon & Member DRSC explained about Traffic Rules and the importance of Traffic Rules. He stated that a simple mistake leads to serious causes, and encouraged the participants to be well prepared and secure one’s own life and also others.

In the Technical Session, Khongwang, Officer Incharge of Traffics Police, Mon shared the importance of wearing seat belts and helmets. He also encouraged not to use Mobile Phones while driving, and not to misuse Driving License. Khoatun, ARSEI explained on MV Acts & Rules, while Birimong, MVI shared on Traffic Sign,Engo, ARTO spoke on Fines & Penalties and Chemkhah, LDA on Good Samaritan, Hit & Run Case & Insurance.

The programme was chaired by Philip, welcome address was delivered by Imkumwapang DTO, Mon and Naoli, MVC delivered a vote of thanks.
