Mon, June 22 (MExN): The Mon District Planning and Development Board on Wednesday held a meeting on Wednesday at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall.
The new Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, took the opportunity to get acquainted with the members of the board, according to updates from the state DIPR. DC Verma is said to have urged the board members to extend their support and cooperation for the smooth functioning of the district.
The board also passed a few proposals to their concerned authorities. It included proposals for establishment of Bohham Academy School at Zangkham, registration of Tizit Village Tea Farmers Group, and registration of Pupil Welfare Society, Mon Town.
The DIPR update informed that the board constituted a Verification Committee for Local Area Development Programme (LADP) 2022-23 and also gave out meritorious awards to top-3 students in HSLC and HSSLC (Arts & Science) 2022 under Mon district.
