Mon, April 30 (DIPR): The monthly Mon District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on April 30 at DC conference hall here.
Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services, SIRD, Relief & Rehabilitation and Chairman DPDB, Mon, P Pohwang stated the government is committed to provide timely service delivery to the citizens. He also requested all members to be regular and stay in station.
The meeting recommended extension of Longkhoho School, Tangnyu; registration of Highland Meadow Society, Aboi; and creation of Border Magistrate at ITC Longwa.
The board also discussed issues related to non-release of second phase of payment under LADP in nine constituencies under Mon district. The house resolved to release payments for those works which are complete and verified by the committee.
Thavaseelan K (IAS), Vice Chairman, DPDB & DC Mon requested all the members to co-operate for the successful conduct of the forthcoming Lok Sabha bye-election for Nagaland.
PowerPoint presentations were presented by Er. G Vikhepu Yeptho, EE PWD (R&B) Mon Division on departmental activities under Mon during 2017-18 and Z Murie, District Welfare Officer on various activities and schemes implemented by the Social Welfare Department in Mon district.
