Mon: Irregular DPDB members to be served ‘Show Cause Notice’

Mon, March 15 (DIPR): Mon District Panning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on March 15at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon. The meeting was chaired by K. Thavaseelan (IAS), Deputy Commissioner and Vice -Chairman DPDB, Mon.

DC asked the HODs to remain in the station and be present in person during the DPDB meetings. The HODs who have been absent during two consecutive DPDB meetings will be served a ‘Show Cause Notice.’

Any HOD leaving station must inform the DC in written and obtain prior permission. If it is found that a HOD is out of station without prior permission, disciplinary action will be initiated against him/her.

DC further informed that a discreet monitoring mechanism is in place to check on a daily basis whether a particular HOD is in station or not. Such measures have been necessitated by the fact that many HODs are absent in departmental meeting called by the DC. Mon is one of the best places to Work and as such there is no reason for a HOD to stay out of station unless there is an emergency. He reiterated that HODs have to be present in person for DPDB meetings and not sent their representatives.

DC thanked all the Officers and Employees of Mon District for the successful and smooth conduct of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections 2018. Despite, innumerable hurdles due to rain and pathetic road conditions, the hard work and sincerity of the ROs/AROs, Police, Polling Officers and the various teams ensured that the elections went off peacefully.

The house resolved that the Verification Committee for LADP shall submit the latest report on the progress of field works.
