Mon, July 6 (MExN): Konjong Higher Secondary School (KHSS) has inaugurated its new school hall, a project funded under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS-2023-24). The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) S Phangnon Konyak.

The ceremony began with a dedicatory prayer by Rev L Metjen Konyak, Executive Secretary of the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjϋm. Rev A Peihwang Wangsa presented a report on the construction process, highlighting the efficient and judicious use of funds, leading to the project's completion within five months. 

MP S Phangnon Konyak in her speech appreciated the effective utilization of the MPLADS funds. Drawing insights from ‘The Parable of the Talents’ (Matthew 25:14-30), she emphasised the importance of making the most of given opportunities and resources. She encouraged the students to look beyond perceived limitations and recognize their potential as future leaders. She underscored the importance of integrity and vision in achieving success and contributing to society.

KHSS Principal H Khamsum gave the vote of thanks. The event was attended by KBBB staff, the Mission Centre community, special invitees, and well wishers from the neighboring wards of Techa, Jahjon, and Temong village.
