A pregnant women with a special package received during the Health Mela at Mongsenyimti PHC on May 28.
Dimapur, May 29 (MExN): Department of Health & Family Welfare conducted a free health mela at Mongsenyimti PHC on May 28. Mokokchung Media Officer Oleminla in a press release informed that the health mela was organized by District Health Society, Mokokchung to provide free specialized medical care to the villagers.
Altogether 643 patients availed free health treatment including 10 ANC, 6 Cu.T INSERT IGNOREions, 3 minor OT and 32 dental extractions. Free laboratory services were also provided where 32 laboratory investigations were done. Patients from nearby villages such as Longkong, Pangsang, Chakpa and Yisemyong also availed the free treatment. All services of health mela were provided free of cost and free medicines were also distributed. Women availing ANC and Cu.T INSERT IGNOREion were also given special package.
The Medical team was lead by Dr. Bendang Jamir CMO, Mokokchung, Dr. S.S.Akaba. Dy.CMO, Dr. Limatula DIO, Dr. Marina SMO, Dr. Mar Orthopedics, Dr. Imsu Anaesthecist, Dr. Tiasenla Dentist, Dr. Kilangwapang Medicine, Dr. Limanaro, Dr. Imlinaro and Dr. Sentiyienla assisted by nurses and pharmacists. The IEC team led by Lipoktemsu DMEIO, Mokokchung conducted IPC with pregnant mothers and posters and leaflets on different health topics were also distributed to all the villagers who came for treatment. The health Mela was held successfully with the coordination of the Mongsenyimti Village council, HCMC members, ASHAs, AWWs and volunteers from Mongsenyimti CYE. The HCMC also expressed gratitude to the Department of Health & family welfare for conducting the Health Mela.
