
Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) has been underway since September 5 in Dimapur District under National Leprosy Eradication Programme. On September 13, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Deputy Commissioner visited Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) Control Room to monitor the activities.
The Leprosy Case Detection Campaign has been underway since September 5 and will continue till September 18 in Dimapur District. During the campaign, intensive house to house survey is being carried out to identify and detect any leprosy case. Detected cases are being treated free of cost under NLEP.
During his visit, K. Yhome, DC Dimapur reiterated the importance of this case detection survey that is being carried out and also appeal to the public to co-operate towards eradication of leprosy from the District. He also had a detailed discussion with Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer Dimapur, Dr. S. K. Dey, State Leprosy Consultant, Dr. Ahu Sekhose, State Leprosy Officer, Dr. Toshirenla, Dr. C. Tetseo and other officers and staff.
