Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): A Monolith and Memorial Park in honor of Late NT Longkumer built by the Yaongyimsen Kosasanger Putu Menden (Village Council), at Yaongyimsen Village, was dedicated by Rev. I. Tinu, Pastor, Yaongyimsen Baptist Church, on June 29, 2007.
The dedication function, which was chaired by Nokchu, Chairman, Yaongyimsen Kosasanger Putu Menden (Village Council), was attended by all members of the Putu Menden, Village Elders, Church Elders, friends of late NT Longkumer besides his wife Thejano Longkumer, children, grandchildren and a host of relatives.
Speakers during the function recalled the immense and selfless contribution and dedication of Late NT Longkumer towards the uplift of the Village, Church and student community right from his school days, during his tenure as a Government servant, as also after retirement.
Late NT Longkumer a retired Executive Engineer, PWD, was a former Chairman of Naga Council, Dimapur, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Patkai Christian College, Chumukedima, besides an active member of various Church and social organizations. Late NT Longkumer passed away on January 24, 2006, at Dimapur.
