Baghty, May 7 (MExN): Montfort High School Baghty organised a felicitation programme to honour the successful candidates of the Class 10 batch for their outstanding performance in the NBSE board examinations on May 5.

The event was marked by celebration, encouragement and inspirational messages for students preparing to embark on a new phase of academic life.

The programme commenced with an invocation prayer led by Nchumbemo Yanthan, senior teacher of the school, seeking God’s blessings for the students and gathering.

This was followed by the welcome address delivered by Vice-Principal Lourdu Mary, who congratulated the successful candidates for their hard work and achievements and welcomed parents, teachers and guests attending the function.

One of the highlights of the programme was the felicitation of rank holders and successful Class 10 candidates. The students were honoured with mementos and certificates in recognition of their dedication and academic excellence.

Addressing the gathering, Rev M K Devassy, Principal of the school, lauded the students for their remarkable achievements, particularly considering that the institution is located in a rural area.

He said students securing above 90 per cent marks was highly commendable and a matter of pride for the institution.

The principal further remarked that the excellent performance of the students would inspire junior students to strive for greater achievements in the coming years.

He reminded the outgoing students that while they would soon leave Baghty for higher studies in different towns and cities and experience greater freedom, they should never forget their roots and the sacrifices made by their parents.

Rev Devassy also encouraged the students to face future challenges with courage and confidence, stating that new environments and situations would bring both opportunities and difficulties.

He emphasised that the values imparted by the school would guide them throughout their lives and help them achieve success if practised sincerely.

The celebration also featured cultural performances, including a duet presented by Boketo Z Chophy and Wondanglo, which was warmly appreciated by the audience. A special dance performance by the Class 10 girls added colour to the occasion.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Libeni Humtsoe, assistant teacher, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, parents and students for making the event successful.
