The monthly bazaar in Kiphire town, which is a boost to the economy for the rural farmers, was held for participants from Seyochung Area who came to sale organic products from the villages on July 21.
Dr Tsilise, VAS while encouraging the participants said that the objective of the monthly bazaar is to improve the economy of the rural farmers and by way of organizing this, citizens in the district also get an opportunity to buy organic products which is free from chemicals.
He also said that since the district has vast geographical boundary, it may not necessarily be held at Kiphire all the time, but organize in places like Pungro, Seyochung and Amahator etc. “Being the first time in the district, the department may support for transportation and arrangement but in the latter stage, after we learn the technique we have to initiate ourselves and not to look out for government initiative all the time,” Dr Tsilise added.
Longtiba, EAC Hq welcomed the gathering and also expressed gratitude to the Irrigation and Flood Control Department and Veterinary Department for taking care of the logistic support on the sales day.
