Mopungchuket Ozukum clan issues warning

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): The Ozukum clan of Mopungchuket village has warned Kora Aier, father of the accused Tsukjemkala (Akala as appeared), wife of the deceased Imrongtoshi that any further attempt to “jeopardize the investigation and trial of the case will be seriously viewed” and even to the extend of taking its own course of action.

The clan in a press note issued by its president T Nukshi Ozukum, secretary I Toshi Ozukum and member Sosang Ozukum stated that in the news item published on February 14 – “River Belt Murder case”, Kora Aier condemned Dr. Tarep’s allegation for using the word “Murder and alleged Rumor”.

He also gave direction to Dr. Tarep to be “patient and wait for the final post mortem report and charge sheet of the case”, it added.

The note mentioned that the case itself has been registered as a murder case by the court through the competent authority – “Police bearing. NO 726/09, Dimapur (west) P.S. case NO 149/09 under section 302 I.P.C.”

Furthermore, the clan in reply to Kora’s statement claimed that after the murder took place, Kora arrived to Dimapur from his village tried to “cover up” the said case, which “indicates” that he was “one of the collaborator of alleged murder”. Affirming its stand over the murder case, it stated: “The Ozukum clan of Mopungchuket Village will seriously view that you are one of the party in the case.”
