More than 200 SHG members attend Seyochung FI Mela

Kiphire, February 4 (MExN): Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) under Sitimi Block held its first phase of Financial Inclusion (FI) Mela on January 31 at Seyochung Village in convergence with Scheme Implementing Department.


SHG members under NSRLM and a host of village stakeholders participated in the daylong event, where more than 220 SHG members attended. Resource persons from SBI Kiphire Branch, TS John Monsang, (Branch Manager) and Sarei Muinao (Lead District Manager) shared the process and benefits of PMBSY, PMJJBY, APY and PM-Mudra Scheme etc.


Dr Kevi, Medical Officer, Primary Health Center (PHC) Seyochung shared the benefits on Ayushman Bharat Yojana health card. More than 50 new individual State Bank of India (SBI) accounts were opened and several Ayushman Bharat Yojana beneficiaries were registered, a press release from Limtimong Tikhir, BPM, BMMU Sitimi Block stated.


Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Seyochung, Moasunep Jinger who was the special invitee encouraged the participants to apply the information shared by the resource persons to improve their rural economy. He also distributed PM-Kisan beneficiaries’ forms to the participants and informed them to have aadhaar card and individual bank accounts in order to avail welfare schemes.


Earlier in the programme, invocation prayer was pronounced by Y Sejungmong, Senior Pastor, Seyochung Village Baptist Lithro and overview of the NSRLM programme was shared by Limtimong Tikhir, BPM, Sitimi Block.

Rothrongse Sangtam, DC-FI, DMMU, Kiphire also briefed the participants on financial inclusion and vote of thanks was delivered by Atokali K, Area Coordinator (FI) Sitimi Block.
