More than 800 avail services at WDLSA mini camp

Wokha, February 1 (MExN): Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) organized a 'mini-camp' in collaboration with District Administration, government departments, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and stakeholders at Bhandari sub-division, Wokha district on January 31.
Khrievono Seletsu, Judicial Magistrate (First Class cum Secretary), WDLSA delivered keynote address and also inaugurated the new Legal Aid Clinic (LAC) at Bhandari.
The Secretary urged the attendees to avail benefits through the camp informing that free affidavits, declaration, correction of names, death and birth certificates, other official and educational documents are issued during the camp.
The camp rendered services of registration for schemes by various departments such as labour, social welfare, postal and banking among others. It also included registration for disability certificates, screening for HIV/AIDS.
Stalls were set up for general public assistance. Para Legal Volunteer, Bhandari Er Zuchobemo Odyuo provided assistance to the people. Inaugural address was delivered by Dr Riku Khutso, EAC Bhandari. Shanchobeni P Lotha Project Assistant WDLSA spoke on Legal Aid and Services.
Meanwhile, short speeches were delivered by Social Welfare Department, Asst Labour Commissioner and Differently Abled Society.
Renbonthung Tsanglao, Panel Lawyer WDLSA chaired the event and vote of thanks was delivered by Adv Meribemo A Lotha, Retainer Lawyer, WDLSA.
During the camp, the District Administration, Medical Department, Social Welfare Department, Postal Department, Asst Labour Commissioner, Differently Abled Society, Indianeers Skills Academy, Sinai Institute, Wokha, Common Service Centre (CSC), Sub-Division Agriculture Officer (SDAO), Food & Civil Supply, Soil & Water Conservation, Child Development Project Officer, District Education office catered to different services under their respective departments.
The Medical Dealers Association, Dimapur Nagaland provided free medicines during the camp. More than 800 beneficiaries were recorded during the camp.
