More condolences pour in for Gen (Retd) Kholi Konyak

Dimapur, December 14 (MExN): More condolences pour in for late Vice President of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) General (Retd) Kholi Chetkoh Konyak passed away on December 12 after a brief illness. CPO: A condolence note from Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) General Secretary, Mutsivoyi Kotso stated that late Kholi was a sincere and dedicated Naga leader whose “demise was a great loss to the Nagas and has created a huge vacuum as well.” Sharing pains and sorrows with the bereaved family members, the CPO further prayed that God the Almighty grant solace and comfort to the family and his soul to rest in eternal home.

DNSU: Diphupar Naga Students Union (DNSU) in a condolence message said that the dedication of the departed leader and his invaluable rendered service for the cause of the Nagas will be remembered. His demise is a great loss to the Nagas in general and the vacuum created by it will be difficult to fill, stated the message. DNSU shared the sense of grief at the irreparable loss and extended prayer that the Almighty God bestow endurance to his bereaved family during this time of pain and grief.

DENSU: Dimapur Eastern Naga Students’ Union (DENSU) in a condolence message stated that the dedication of the late leader to the Naga cause and the Indo-Naga peace talk shall be remembered by all. The Union prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and God grant solace to the bereaved family.

DRSU: Dimapur Rengma Students’ Union (DRSU) stated that the dedication, sacrifice and legacy of the late leader will be remembered by the younger generation. DRSU further conveyed prayers for the bereaved family members and for the departed soul to rest in peace.

ENSA: A condolence message from Vice President and Executive Secretary, ENSA stated that we have lost one of the tallest and the most patriotic Naga leaders. He represented the voice and aspiration of every Naga, the message read and added that his sacrifice and leadership spirit for the freedom of Naga nation will always remain an inspiring torch in the hearts of Nagas for the generations to come. ENSA, on behalf of Nagas living in the border of Myanmar conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty give strength and may the departed soul rest in peace.

ENSF: Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has conveyed heartfelt condolences and sought solace for the great soul and prayed that the Almighty transforms grief into a source of strength for the bereaved family members.

FGN: Brig (Retd) S Singnya, Kedahge, (Federal Government of Nagaland) FGN in a message stated that on the demise of his “dear friend Gen (Retd) Khole, our Nation has lost a great leader.” The FGN extended its most profound condolences to his family members and associates. “My friend has left an indelible print of unwavering commitment for which he will always be remembered as a genuine freedom fighter who has given unquestionable support – above constricted and selfish interests for our Nation’s cause,” stated the message and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

Khango-led NSCN (K): “Today is an appointed day of the Lord and as we gather here to bid farewell to our father and our leader. May the Lord Almighty keep him at peace until we meet,” read a message from Lt. Gen. (Retd) Khango Konyak Chairman and President, NSCN/GPRN. On behalf of all the ranks and files of NSCN/GPRN, he extended solace to the bereaved family and the entire community.

NGBF: Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) has expressed deepest sorrow on the demise of the late leader who was a true patriot and sacrificed his life for the cause of Naga political struggle. NGBF conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty for his soul to rest in peace.

Naga Hoho: Naga Hoho in a condolence message stated that the late leader was a long-standing Naga nationalist who made significant contributions to the Naga freedom struggle for over six decades, a freedom fighter in his own right. Though gone, freedom fighters remain immortal through their work and ideals, inspiring the society, the message said and prayed that his selfless and sacrificing spirit carry on for generations.

NPCC: A condolence message from K. Therie President, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) stated that “he was known as a diehard in the political struggle who left behind comforts and family life all throughout his life for the noble cause.” It is sad that he could not live to see the solution to the Naga political issue, the message said and added that his integrity will remain indelible in the history of Nagaland. The rank and file of NPCC expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, and prayed that the Almighty God grant solace and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

NPF: President of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, on his behalf and on behalf of the party rank and file expressed sadness on the demise of the tall Naga leader. “We believe that his sacrifice will not go in vain, but will be an example to the Naga people to follow his footstep which our Naga leader has carried,” stated a condolence message and conveyed deepest condolences and sympathy to his Government and his family members. It prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

NSCN (R): President NSCN (R) Y Wangtin Naga in his condolence message stated that late Gen (Retd) Khole, in his entire life journey created hopes among the Naga youths who joined the Naga National Movement through his inspiration. The message further read, “we have lost our greatest leader today.”

NTC: NTC has shared the grief and agony of the bereaved family members of the departed leader. A condolence message from Chairman NTC, Theja Therieh stated that the Council cherished the valuable services contributed by the departed leader to the Naga cause and prayed that the Almighty God grant solace to the family and the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

RCN: Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) has extended deepest condolences to the bereaved family members of the late leader and prayed that they find fortitude to bear this great loss.The Council prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

RSZ: Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) in a condolence message stated that the legacy and spirit of the true liberal leader instilled to the Naga generation shall always be remembered and cherished. RSZ hoped that the blood and tears of the “true patriot shall awaken the spirit of true Nationalist to the young Naga generation to carry forward the legacy.” RSZ prayed that Almighty God will grant solace to the departed soul and his legacy to increase all over Naga nation.

THN: Tangkhul Hoho Nagaland (THN) in a message said that the late leader will be remembered for generations to come. It conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. ULFA: United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) (Independent) has expressed sadness on the demise and offered deep condolences to his colleagues and juniors, family members. The Front prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
