More districts commemorate 1st anniversary of AB-PMJAY

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): In commemoration of the first anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) under the banner ‘Ayushman Bharat Pakhwara,’ several activities were conducted across the state in the past few days.
Kohima: A walkathon march was flagged off by Lithrongla Tongpi, Additional Deputy Commissioner from Naga Hospital Authority premises to Para Medical Training Institute on September 19.
A total of 204 participants from Social Welfare Department, Department of Urban Development (NULM)/ Municipal Affairs took part in the rally.
A press release from Dr Laso Lazar, CMO, Kohima stated the inaugural function of ‘Ayushman Bharat Pakhwara’ was held at the Para Medical Training Institute (PMTI) Library Hall.
A beneficiary testimony was shared by Dziesievituo – PMJAY while Tovi Achumi was felicitated with the best performing PMAM/BIS Operators and Rukuseho Soleho for ranking third position in CSC – VLEs BIS Operators.
Dr Hoito Sema, Deputy CMO and Lithrongla Tongpi, ADC (NCS) addressed the gathering.
Later, the launching programme of the Integrated Community Sensitization-cum-Beneficiary Identification Drive was carried out where 124 beneficiaries availed services, in which 111 screened for RBS, Haemoglobin test for Anemia – 2, HIV test – 46, Tuberculosis sputum test – 1 and MP test – 110.
Mon: Walkathon-cum-Launching programme of the Integrated Community Sensitization-cum-BIS drive and Health Screening Camp was held at Council Hall Mon on September 25 with Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K.
The DC said that Ayushman Bharat PMJAY was the world’s largest government funded healthcare programme where free health insurance of Rs 5 lakh per family per year can be availed, stated a DIPR report.
In Mon district, the target beneficiaries are 1,44,450 who are listed during the Socio Economic Caste Census 2011, the DC said and called upon the stake holders and the gathering to spread awareness and reach out to the beneficiaries in order to get enrolled and avail the benefits.
During the occasion, Thavaseelan handed over certificate and cash award to L Bandwing for Best Beneficiaries Identifying System operator in the district.
The DC also launched the Integrated Community Sensitization, Beneficiary Identification System drive and Health Screening camp at Council Hall Mon.
Meanwhile, in commemoration of the one year anniversary, the DC flagged off the walkathon at Helipad ground and culminated at Council Hall, Mon.
Chief Medical Officer, Mon, Dr Kechongol Sophie, in his welcome address, informed that as on September 20, 41, 795 beneficiaries have been enrolled in the district and out of that 321 had been treated in District Hospital, Mon. Beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Yanlong and Apong shared the testimony on how they got the benefits under the scheme AB-PMJAY at District Hospital Mon.
The programme was jointly organized by the Departments of Health & Family Welfare, Social Welfare, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Mon.

Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan flagged off the walkathon from Imlong Place. He launched the Integrated Community Sensitization cum BSI drive and Health Screening Camp at IMDH, Mokokchung.
During the programme, AB-PMJAY beneficiaries, Imliyangba of Kupza village and Kilensungla of Longsa village gave their testimony on how PMJAY scheme have benefitted them.
Yapanglemla Imchen, the best performing Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitra (PMAM) was felicitated for highest enrolment of beneficiaries.
AB-PMJAY awareness talk was presented by Dr Sentirenla R Jamir (Nodal Officer) AB-PMJAY, IMDH and vote of thanks was proposed by Dy CMO-cum-District Nodal Officer AB-PMJAY, Dr Kibangkumba. Earlier invocation was said by the Chaplain IMDH, R Nchumthung Humtsoe and welcome address was given by (MS) IMDH, Dr P Medemmayang.
