More news on second phase of IPPI conducted across state

Mangkolemba:  In Mangkolemba second phase of IPPI was launched by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung Lithrongla G. Chishi administering the first polio drops at playground. Mokokchung Media Officer, NRHM Olemienlain a press release said that the Deputy Commissioner also visited Mangkolemba CHC where she interacted with the patients, SMO and Health workers. The DC also contributed a sum of 5000 for nurse’s welfare fund. The HCMC of Mangkolemba CHC extends gratitude to Lithrongla G Chishi for her relent involvement during the IPPI programme and generous contribution towards the nurse’s welfare fund.

Tuensang: The second phase of IPPI was conducted on Sunday in Tuensang with an approximate figure of 12489 booth activities. The inaugural programme for the phase started with the first polio drops being administered by the deputy commissioner Tuensang A.Z Jami. The first phase of the IPPI was conducted on January 23 with a total of 17892 booth activities in the district.

Zunheboto: The 2nd round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization was conducted at Zunheboto district on February 27. The programme is being organized by Chief Medical Officer, Zunheboto and will conclude on March 1. Polio booths have been put up in all sectors to administer polio drops to eligible children below 5 years. Parents along with their children turned up to receive polio drops, more over the health workers, volunteers conducted door to door campaign to administer polio drops. DIO Zunheboto has informed that a total number of 2,318 children received polio drops on the first day.
