Peren, August 26 (MExN): Sensitization cum training programmes on Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) were held for different groups of people of Peren district’s Ahthibung block recently.
For all school principals and nodal teachers, the programme was held on August 17, while for vaccinators, ANMs, and supervisors, it was held on August 23 at Ahthibung Primary Health Centre (PHC).
The programme on August 17 was chaired by Khangpu, School Coordinator, Ahthibung block. Temsumenla Kipgen, BPM Ahthibung block and Dr Vezokhulu, Medical Officer Ayush, who were the resource persons, highlighted the roles and responsibilities of the teachers and gave thorough instructions on how to carry out the vaccination activities.
They encouraged and requested the schools to conduct rallies, painting activities and also parent-teacher meeting and teacher-student interaction, stated a press release from Pezanguno Celine Secü, District Media Officer, CMO office, Peren.
The resource persons further called upon all the schools authority to cooperate, create intensive positive awareness as well as train their staff for a successful Measles-Rubella campaign in the district.
During the training for vaccinators, ANMs, and supervisors also, Temsumenla Kipgen and Dr Vezokhulu were the resource persons.
