
Kohima, March 27 (MExN): Various government employees’ associations have extended support to the pen down strike over demand for implementation of 7th Revision of Pay (RoP).
Nagaland School Education Administrative Officers’ Association (NSEOA), All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), and Nagaland Government Higher Secondary Employees’ Association (NGHSSEA) in a joint statement informed that they have resolved to support the agitation of the CANSSEA in the pen down strike for the implementation of 7th ROP w.e.f. March 1, 2017. The Directorate of School Education, all the DEO establishments, SDEO establishments, SSA and RMSA will strictly implement the pen down strike agitation, it was informed. The school classes and exams will be exempted in the first phase as per the directive of CANSSEA. The statement said that all the members of school education department will participate in the next stage of agitation should the deadlock continue between the State government and CANSSEA in the issue.
The All Nagaland District Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) has also extended “unflinching support” to the CANSSEA in its “genuine demand” for implementation of 7th Revision of Pay (RoP) in the State. A press statement from ANDMSA General Secretary, T Limhachan Kithan further informed all the units to be vigilant and cooperate with the CANSSEA for the welfare of the State employees.
In a separate statement, CANSSEA Zunheboto unit extended support to the pen down strike called by CANSSEA Nagaland.
