Morpho devices distributed in Wokha

Wokha, August 18 (MExN): Commemorating 75th Independence Day (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav), the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) in collaboration with CSC Wokha organised training-cum-distribution of Morpho devices to BC/Digi pay sakhi at Wokha on August 17.

According to a press release received on Wednesday, the programme was chaired by District Coordinator (Financial Inclusion) Orentsani C Kithan and welcome address was delivered by AC-FI BMMU Bhandari Shanjos E Kikon.

Presenting of certificates to those who cleared the IIBF exam, Samuel Kithan ADPM DMMU, NSRLM Wokha, encouraged the participants to perform their assigned duty and help the rural community. The main objective of the programme was to train and place the identified BC/Digi pay sakhi in order to give banking facilities at the grassroots level, he said, while reminding the participants to help every individual.

As per the release, distribution and activation of Morpho device was carried out by Wochanthung Ngullie, DM-CSC Wokha who encouraged the participants to be diligent in their work and to report or call at any time in case they face difficulties in performing their assigned work with the device. 

A total of 13 BC/Digi pay sakhi, identified candidates participated in the programme with 10 DMMU and BMMU staff along with stakeholders. Ajanbeni Kikon, Digi pay sakhi from Senthan SHG of Lakhuti village under Sanis Block shared her experiences and vote of thanks was proposed by L Philip Ezung, AC-FI BMMU Ralan block, the release stated.
