6th M.Noke Trophy Inter Club Football begins
Mon, October 11 (DIPR): The 6th M.Noke Trophy Inter Club Football Tournament was started on October 11 at Local ground, Mon organised by Friends’ Club, Mon in collaboration with Nagaland Aids Control Society. DC Mon graced the inauguration function as chief guest. In her speech she exhorted the youngsters not to indulge in drugs and alcohol instead one should keep busy in sports. Now the sports event became global phenomena. She challenged the participants to be a true sportsmanship and wish the best luck to all the teams. The function was chaired by Lily, Asst. Professor (Economics) Wangkhao College, Mon and the welcome address was presented by Bongai Konyak, Chairman, Friends’ Clubs, and Mon. The opening match played between Bulls Club Vs Seong Club, Tobu and the Seong Club, Tobu win the opening match by 1 (one) goal.
CASA volleyball C'ship from October 19
Kohima, Oct 11 (MExN): The 2nd volleyball championship (Men) of Phek District will be held at Chozuba Town local ground from October 19-21. A press release issued by general secretary Chozuba Area Sports Association (CASA) stated that the tournament is organized by CASA and sponsored by Vezoto Dozo, Sr. PS to minister health & family welfare and Küdecho Khamo, Chairman, Entrepreneurship Development Agency, Nagaland. Further the association informed that Thüpusato Vamuzo, general secretary, NPF Nagaland will grace the inaugural function as the chief guest on 19 October while Puchovoyi Kella-o, VDB secretary Chozuba village will be the guest of honor on 21st October. It also requested the participating team/club to submit the entry form before October 14.
