
Guwahati, April 20 (MExN): The Union Minister of State of Railways and Coal &Mines, Raosaheb Patil Danve visited Agartala Tripura on April 20 and reviewed various railway projects and ongoing infrastructure developmental works, an official release informed.
Danve inaugurated the Monumental National Flag at Agartala station and was given the guard of honour by the RPF contingent at Agartala station, stated a press release from the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
He also conducted a window trailing inspection from Agartala to Sabroom station to inspect various aspects of track and signalling equipments along with other safety related gears. The MSs also inspected and interacted with passengers at Udaipur station.
Danve also visited Integrated Check Post (ICP) being built in Sabroom, Tripura. The ICP is envisioned to contain multi-modal facilities to handle road, railway and waterways cargo, the NRR release informed, adding that there is a proposal for railway siding for loading/unloading of goods inside ICP, to be developed under Prime Minister’s Gati Shakti Terminal Policy.
Earlier on April 19, the MoS conducted a window trailing inspection from Kamakhya to Barpeta Road to check various safety aspects and inspect the progress of New Bongaigaon-Agthori double line project, it added. He also reviewed several governments’ projects at Barpeta District and held meetings with local administration of Barpeta.
