Kohima, November 12 (MExN): Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar visited Nagaland on November 11. 

IEC State Bureau DHFW, Nagaland in an official release said that in the late evening after reaching Kohima the State capital, a review meeting was held at Raj Bhavan Conference hall Kohima with Secretary HFW, Asangla Imti along with Principal Director, Mission Director NHM, Project Director NSACS and Officers from the Department and reviewed the functioning of Health Care Delivery system minutely.

On November 12, a video conference was organised from Raj Bhavan Conference Hall with Kiphire District which was attended by Deputy Commissioner, CMO, Medical Superintendent, Medical Officers and HoDs of all departments and discussed at length about the Aspirational district. She virtually inaugurated the Maternity Ward Extension at District Hospital Kiphire. 

Additionally, Dr Pawar inspected the on-going construction site at the New Medical College, Phriebagie, Kohima and visited UPHC Seikhazou wherein she interacted with the health workers and ASHAs. 

The team finally visited Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and had interactions with the doctors, nurses and patients.
