KIPHIRE, JULY 16 (MExN): In a tragic incident, a woman (aged 40 years) and her 11-year-old son were washed away in the Mutrikyu stream, some 8 kilometers from Kiphire town this morning. Hailing from Yingshikur village, the mother-son duo, resident of Kipongya ward, Kiphire town were washed away while crossing the stream, which reportedly had strong water current. They were on their way to their Jhum field to collect maize. The bodies were retrieved downstream, around one kilometer from the place of incident.
