Mothers called to be uniting factor of community

Nagaland’s Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu today challenged the Chakhesang mothers to be loving and caring mothers for a harmonious and progressive society.
Speaking at the International Women's Day organized by Chakhesang Mothers' Association (CMA) in collaboration with the District Administration, Phek and Phek District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) on the theme, “Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights for an Equal Future,” at Badminton Stadium, Phek town, Kronu appealed the mothers to be uniting factor of the community and urged them to aim for well being and progress of the society.
Stating that good roads and electricity is essential for the process of development, he urged upon the people to cooperate with the government for proper execution of such projects in the state.
Stating that road connectivity and waterway to Eastern side of Myanmar will greatly boost the state’s economy, Kronu informed that he is planning to take up the proposal with the government.
Urging the people to adopt work culture, he said “Lazy people have no place in the present society.”
Lauding the efforts of womenfolk in forming SHGs in different parts of Phek district, Kronu asked them to continue with the same by upgrading the system of management for a sustainable livelihood.
Earlier, Kronu unveiled the foundation stone of CMA building plot at Zion colony, Phek.
Also speaking on the occasion as the guest of honour, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu stressed on the importance of women's role in the global arena & urged the womenfolk to cohesively work with broader vision so as build the society with complete transformation and also build with better outlook.
Stating that humbleness is the key to success, Nienu urged upon womenfolk to live a humble life.
Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Mikha Kenye shared greetings while Sano Vamuzo, former chairperson Nagaland State Commission for Women exhorted the gathering.
Muzivolu T Therieh, NJS, District & Sessions Judge and chairperson PDLSA talked on "Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights for an Equal Future."
Bhavani Sri, SDO (C) Phek and Nodal Officer BBBP Phek made a presentation on BBBP. CMA president Zhonelu Tunyi chaired the session-I.
