DIMAPUR, JULY 1 (MExN): Friends on Wheels Motorcycle Club, a Nagaland-based non-profit group of motorcycle enthusiasts, has installed a new water filter and cooler system at Zakiesato Memorial Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, providing students with access to clean, safe, and chilled drinking water.

The initiative, held under the theme “A Step Toward Clean, Safe & Chilled Drinking Water,” reflects the club’s ongoing efforts to improve student welfare and infrastructure in educational institutions, a press release issued by the Club informed.

The programme was attended by dignitaries, school officials, and members of the club. Animesh Sutradhar chaired the programme, while the opening prayer was led by Joyson Shimray, Coordinator of the event.

Delivering the keynote address, Club President Abhijeet Bharadwaj said the installation is part of a broader mission to support students through better access to basic amenities. He also shared that the club has facilitated school admissions for 43 underprivileged children this year across various institutions in Nagaland.

School Principal Sajal Kanti Nath expressed appreciation to the club for the contribution, stating that the water facility would benefit hundreds of students daily.

The initiative was lauded as an example of community-driven development and the impact of socially conscious organisations in the state.
