DIMAPUR, APRIL 4 (MExN): A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for setting up of ‘Nagalite Centre’ in all the Government Polytechnics in the State was signed on April 4, 2018 between Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, Kohima and Jaganlite India Pvt. Ltd (JIPL).
A press release issued by Er Arjun Singh, Director, Technical Education said the Department was represented by him in the presence of Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher & Technical Education and Dellirose M. Sakhrie, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education.
The initial production of ‘Nagalite Centre’ will be LED Bulb, Street Lights and other LED and Solar Products as per BIS/BEE specifications which are of huge demand in the market. As per MoU, a short term training courses shall be conducted for local youth, with an aim for entrepreneurship-cum-skill development on the line of the enterprise.
It was also agreed that the course fees of the training program shall be shared between JIPL and DTE in the ratio of 80:20 respectively. And the revenue sharing between the two parties shall be in the ratio of 85:15. However, the cost of setting up and functioning of ‘Nagalite Centre’ shall be borne by JIPL only, the press release stated.
