CHÜMOUKEDIMA, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): Mount Mary College held a comprehensive seminar on Cyber Crime Awareness, aimed at educating students and staff about the rising threats in the digital world. The seminar, which took place at the college auditorium featured Ninoto I Zhimomi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Chümoukedima, as the resource person.

In his address, Zhimomi emphasised the increasing prevalence of online scams, identity theft, and social media exploitation. He shared practical tips on safeguarding personal data, recognising phishing attempts, and using secure digital practices. 

“Cyber crime is no longer an isolated issue; it affects people of all ages and backgrounds. Awareness and caution are keys to protecting ourselves and our loved ones,” he said. The ACP also highlighted on different types of ongoing scams namely, phishing scams, crypto currency scams, and gave detail awareness on malware in devices.
