The Mount Olive College Kohima today held its 32nd annual Freshers’ Social cum Graduation Ceremony 2024 at the College Auditorium, Kohima

The event was organised by Mount Olive College Students’ Council in association with Mount Olive College Alumni Association.

Prof. Glenn T. Thong, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University, Kohima Camp graced the occasion the guest of honour and handed over degree certificates to 58 graduated students for 2021-2024 batch.

The college also welcomed 87 freshers.

Meanwhile, in academic achievement, Vihuto Achumi bagged the Mount Olive College Kohima “Batch Topper for the year 2024” title.

Student of the year 2024 was awarded to Ketou-ü Pfüsenuo. She received a certificate and the cash award sponsored by Lovitoli Zhimomi, who is currently serving as Assistant Professor and Vice Principal of the college.

Achievers of the co-curricular and academic categories were also awarded to the students in various fields.

Commencement address was delivered by Medovi Rhi, president, Naga Students’ Federation.

Presentation of gradaunts was done by Swedezhono Tsükrü, Dean (Academics) followed by valedictorian speeches by Vihuto Achumi, batch topper 2024 and Ketou-ü Pfüsenuo, student of the year 2024.

Dr. Koseno, Principal, Mount Olive college greeted the gathering while Shiwoto Wotsa, Chairman & Managing Director, governing body, delivered welcome address.

Amugha Shohe, general secretary MOCSC spoke on behalf of the senior.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Holika Yeptho, Coordinator, IQAC while Mughaka Yeptho, Youth Pastor, UBC Camp pronounced invocation.

Lothungbeni Ngully, Dean ( Student Affairs) proposed vote of thanks.

Newtoli Jimo, Chaplin and Counsellor pronounced the benediction followed by celebration of talent by Mount Olive College Students Council.
