Mount Tiyi College students visits Morning Star Children's Home

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Mount Tiyi College in collaboration with the Department of Sociology visits Morning Star Children's Home Wokha.

Four faculty members and 28 students from Mount Tiyi College visited the Morning Star Children's Home in Wokha. 

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Mount Tiyi College in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, undertook the visit to the Children's Home on August 24 as part of their Community Service Extension Programme where they donated varieties of essential items, including stationery, toiletries, detergents, and toys, to support the daily needs of the children.

At a programme during the visit, Thungjano E. Ovung offered words of encouragement, uplifting the spirits of both the children and the visitors. The visiting students also presented songs and played games with the children. The children at home recited Bible verses and presented special songs expressing their gratitude.

NSS Programme Officer, Rentsamo J. Humtsoe expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the proprietor of Morning Star Children's Home, as well as the faculty members and students, for their collective effort in making the visit a significant and memorable event.
