Mon, October 6 (MExN): Sub-Divisional Agriculture (SDAO) office, Naginimora, Department of Agriculture, conducted one day training on Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North East Region (MOVCD-NER) on October 5 at Chingtang Village, Mon.
Under the mission, 50 hectare area at Chintang village will be brought under organic cultivation of ginger, a release here informed.
Senup Longchari, Deputy DAO, Mon appreciated participation from the village and urged them to continue co-operating with the department for successful implementation of the mission.
H Lawrence, SDAO, Naginimora explained the salient feature and guidelines of MOVCD.
Registration of farmers and signing of contract with the farmers was also done. The farmers assured the department that the organic guidelines for production will be strictly followed for successful implementation of the mission. 50 farmers attended the training.
